Travel & Stay

Nainital sits at 2,084 meters, nested around a pear-shaped, natural freshwater lake.
Here is the easiest way to reach us.

Three ways in

By Rail

Kathgodam (KGM) is the nearest railhead โ€” about 23 km and a one-hour taxi ride up the hill. Overnight trains run from Delhi; taxis and shared cabs wait at the station.

By Air

Pantnagar (PGH) is the closest airport, around 65 km / two hours away, with flights from Delhi. Flying into Delhi (DEL) and driving or taking the train up is often easier.

By Road

From Delhi it is roughly 300 km โ€” six and a half to eight hours via Moradabad and Haldwani. The last 35 km are winding hill roads; carry motion-sickness tablets if you need them.
