TRAVEL
Pantnagar (PGH): The closest runway (~2 hours away by road / 65 km). Direct daily domestic flights from New Delhi.
New Delhi (DEL): Fly into Delhi, then take a train or private taxi. This is the most frequent and reliable option.
Kathgodam (KGM): The closest railway station (~1 hour away by road / 23 km). Direct daily and overnight trains run from New Delhi. Options include the day-run Kathgodam Shatabdi Express and the overnight Ranikhet Express. Prepaid taxis and cabs are available at the station exit.
Delhi to Nainital: A scenic road journey (~6.5 to 8 hours / 300 km).
Hill drive: The final 35 km climbs winding mountain roads. We highly recommend keeping motion-sickness tablets handy if you need them.

Weather and Packing
Mountain Weather: Expect crisp, sunny days (~10–15°C) and chilly evenings dipping to a brisk ~2–7°C.
What to Pack: Warm layers, heavy woolens, a cozy evening coat or shawl, and comfortable walking shoes (Nainital is best explored on foot!).
